Consultation

Restore drill observation

You already have a drill on the calendar. We watch, time the waits, and draw the story so the next drill is not the same conversation in a different room.

Restore drill observation

A restore drill that exists only as a calendar invitation teaches very little. This consultation is for teams who already intend to bring a system back and want a witness who will time the idle minutes, note who left the room for a password, and draw the sequence on one page.

We do not design the drill for you unless you ask in the scoping note. We sit where the work happens, stay for the ugly pauses, and refuse to write “success” if the application came up without the month-end files.

The page you receive is a timeline with clock times, names of the people who acted, and a short list of waits that had nothing to do with the copy itself — keys, courier delays, a licence that only one person can click. That list is often the useful part.

This work pairs naturally with a later Recovery Readiness Review if the drill exposes a gap you then want sampled across other jobs.
